CHANGE OF PLANS.

For those who don’t know, people have been coming to me and asking me if whether or not I’d be having more than just Alex Suarez Week this year, which, I didn’t plan on it but, because so many people have approached me about this case, I have decided to dedicate five weeks to our beloved Cobras.

This October, we will celebrate their six year anniversary by giving them each a week of dedication, and we’re going to go old skool. I’m recruiting people who might want to help put together contests, and hell, even packages. I’m going to need all the help I can get considering I have to apply to colleges/work overtime at the same time. If you’re interested in helping, please, contact me on here, @TeamAlexSuarez or @tessmyers. I’m interested in everything you have to say.

Each week will be dedicated to one of the five members of the band, and each week there will be a package given away to one lucky winner not only Cobra themed, but, themed after that member as well. I need as many sources as possible to put this together; as well all know, merch doesn’t run cheap. If you find something at Hot Topic on clearance or something online for sale, please, let me know. I don’t want you breaking the bank buying merch but, if you see something that you’re willing to give up for the contest, all donations will be GLADLY accepted.

JULY 22ND-28TH: Alex Suarez week! Fuck yeah, it’s finally coming upon as. If you might recall, we had some pretty cool contests, with even more amazing personalized prizes from Alex Suarez himself! Last year, winners received books, special GRVRBBRS mixed CDs, some neat pictures he picked up, and special messages from Alex as well as other cool stuff. This year will be mystery packages as well; still going to be fucking awesome packages.

AUGUST 1ST-31st:The entire month of August is dedicated to the one year anniversary of Night Shades! Each week, I will be giving instructions for contests, and Cobra themed packages will be given to you. Here are just a few items that are FOR SURE going to be in the packages: CD(s), stickers, posters, shirts, and a few other items that I’m not going to spoil because that’s no fun~

Spread the word, give people a heads up. Be sure to follow this blog for more information, maybe even secret tips/hints, as well as follow @TeamAlexSuarez on twitter for news about the contests/packages, tours, chats, etcetc.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL: Alex’s birthday is just around the corner! Let’s pull our shit together!

Normally, when Alex’s birthday rolls around we do a typical “Happy Birthday” video. Those are getting pretty unoriginal and frankly, they’re boring and I’m tired of doing boring. This year, we’re going to do something a little more special for him.

I want everyone to send me a memory you have of Alex. It can be meeting him (if you have pictures, please, please, please, please send them in with your story), it can be a video chat story, it can be a Cobra concert, whatever memory you have of Alex, send it to me! If you don’t have a story in which you met Alex, or have pictures, that’s okay too, you can send me the reason why you love Alex, or if he’s inspired anything in your life, or any effect he has had on you, or just a plain old “happy birthday” message. christmas- good food, wary drinking aaand PRESENTS!

2. How was your visit to South America, specifically Chile? (from @sofiabernal)

insane! Never gonna get anything like it ever again. But for real, words can’t describe what that entire experience was like for us.

3. What music have you been listening to lately? What’s your all time favorite album? :-) (from suaxriza on tumblr)

no idea what my favorite all time album is, maybe Metallicas And Justice For All… ? I can think of at least 20 more I like as much as that one. As for listening to lately : holy ghost, the new Justice album Audio, Video, Disco, the new Feist album Metals, Jay Z blueprint, and a song by Toto called “child’s Anthem”. It’s a game changer I promise.

4. What do you usually eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner? (from @ RTlayoko)

no plans yet. We did start one a couple years ago but never finished.

no idea about canada. Life lessons? Don’t count your eggs before they hatch.

the shows. Really truly unreal. Hopefully the biebs fans took a liking to us ;)

10. What was the craziest thing that happened on the Bieber tour? (from anon 2)

hmm JB taking a helicopter is pretty amazing. The whole experience being there, the shows, the flying, the airports packed with fans and the best food award goes out to …… Peru!

11. Being a fan from the beginning, I’ve had the opportunity to watch the band and the fanbase grow, as well as watching the band go from playing small shows to playing venues that pack 50,000 people. How do you feel about the band’s sudden popularity expansion in the past two years? Do you feel it’s changed the vibe between the band and the fans now that you have a much larger fanbase to reach out to? (from @tessmyers, and or, me.)

not at all. I mean, it’s not like 50,000 people were there to see us, we are just lucky that we got to perform in front of them. I think we are still tight with our fans. It’s always nice to see familiar faces at our shows and parties and we are still thankful that people stuck with us. I guess I won’t really know the feeling until we start touring -headlining- (btw no I do not know when) until then I’m really just an average neighborhood rat.
